So, how do you build an employer brand, for a world-leading consumer healthcare company, that doesn’t even exist? That was just about the scale of the challenge in front of us when GSK announced they’d be spinning off their Consumer Healthcare division, leading to the creation of a brand new, standalone company. With no name, no mission, no purpose, no brand and no timetable to work to, where do you start?

Well, although we didn’t have much to work with, it did present one incredible opportunity. The chance to develop and define a lived working experience from scratch. Wholly influenced and shaped by the wants and needs of its future employees.

For a successful launch, we hatched a three-phase activation plan.

1. Internal education. 2. Internal launch. 3. External launch.

For this mammoth task, I was asked to create: A Look and Feel, a Recruiter’s Guide, a Playbook, Four Training Videos, a Launch Comms Guide, a Candidate Pack and 24 different ready-made Social Assets.
